Benevolent Beers: Erie Free Store

We team up with the Erie Free Store for another night of Benevolent Beers!

The Erie Free Store is open to anyone who needs a little extra help. There are three simple principles that they try to follow, and we hope you will, too: Take what you need, be kind, and pay it forward.

The Erie Free Store is based on and completely inspired by Free Store 15104 in Braddock Pennsylvania, and totally volunteer run and donation based.
They host weekly shopping hours, and don't require ID or income requirements. In 2022, they are averaged around 75 shoppers per week (in 2.5 hours). In July 2022, there were over 100 shoppers each week. They participate in a Car Seat Loan Program through PA Traffic Injury Prevention Program, where we have distributed over 120 car seats in two years.

The Erie Free Store hosts and participates in community outreach events, such as cookouts, trunk or treat, holiday events, National Night Out, and Food N Cruze (2022). Community service opportunites for individuals and small groups are provided too. In 2022, they hosted our first FREESTER dinner (Easter Dinner) and fed nearly 200 people around Erie via food donation.

Every sale rung in between 5:00pm and 8:00pm will provide funding to this organization.
