Benevolent Beers: Second Harvest Food Bank

Tonight we team up with the Second Harvest Food Bank of NWPA for another night of Benevolent Beers!

Incorporated in 1981, Second Harvest is the largest nonprofit food distribution organization in northwest Pennsylvania. Our mission is to create a hunger free community by providing food, creating awareness, and educating the communities throughout our footprint. Second Harvest serves 88,170 individuals throughout 11 counties in northwest Pennsylvania. These include Cameron, Clarion, Clearfield, Crawford, Elk, Erie, Forest, Jefferson, McKean, Venango, and Warren counties.

Second Harvest is the major supplier of food to a network of 390 member agencies and partner organizations that directly serve people facing hard times. Member agencies include traditional food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, Produce Express mobile distributions, Military Share – a Produce Express Program, weekend BackPack Programs, and School Pantries. Second Harvest partner organizations include non-emergency locations such as childcare centers, group homes, and drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers. The food bank also provides a monthly Senior Box Program for low-income seniors. Sites include senior apartment buildings, senior centers, and churches.

Every sale rung in between 5:00 and 8:00pm will provide a donation to this group.
