This is not a beer photo...Let us explain.
You've heard this before, if you're a regular content consumer of ours. Sure, we make beer. We drink beer. We really enjoy beer. But this place is more than just the liquid, it's an honest-to-goodness third space where friends meet with friends.
The photo above was taken Sunday afternoon as a bar full of newly-acquainted friends all cheered for the Buffalo Bills playing in Houston. We aired the game because of our official Buffalo Bills Backer Bar status (official certificate to follow). We had pairs of people from all over coming together over a beer, watch the game, meet each other as complete strangers, and leave as buddies. Man, what a feeling that gives us. By the by, it seems Octoberfest was the favorite beer of the day.
We collectively look forward to this situation daily. In fact as owners (hi, it's me, Jeff) we often introduce someone we're speaking with to someone else that just walked in. We take great, GREAT pride in strengthening these relationships made within our walls. Yesterday I (yep, Jeff again) was thanked simply for taking the time to talk to two dudes for a few minutes, something they said they don't experience at other breweries.
I have said this before, the beer is the social lubricant we offer for sale. But the relationships and the conversations are our true product. And when we think about how it positively affects the humans around us, it really makes us feel great.
See you soon.
